High Efficiency Boiler Tax Credit
Here at John Nugent & Sons, we’ve received numerous calls from customers in Fairfax, Arlington, Centreville, Reston, and all throughout Northern Virginia. They’re all curious as to whether the boiler they purchased and installed in 2012 is eligible for a federal tax credit. As part of the legislation designed to avoid the “fiscal cliff,” Congress passed a bill, signed into law by President Obama on Jan. 2, 2013, that reinstated 25C tax credits for highly efficient HVAC and water heating equipment, including boilers. The new law extends the HVAC tax credits that expired in 2011 from Jan. 1, 2012 all the way to Dec. 31, 2013, for eligible equipment listed in Section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code.
